Monoalphabetic Substitution Systems

Caesar Cipher

This one doesn't work with either the KRYPTOS or ABC alphabets, verified by multiple people (and myself), with brute force methods (David Wilson). A frequency test also discourages the Caesar Cipher and simple substitution methods:

f(f-1)/N(N-1)=

=(4*3+5*4+2*1+3*2+2*1+4*3+4*3+2*1+4*3+3*2+8*7+4*3+1*0+3*2+5*4+3*2+4*3+4*3+6*5+6*5+6*5+2*1+2*1+1*0+4*3)/(97*96)

=(1*56+3*30+8*12+3*20+4*6+5*2+2*0)/9312

=(56+90+96+60+24+10+0)/9312

=336/9312

=0.036082474226804123711340206185567 = random

Message 185 ROT13 with American Flag grille, "boadwax" appears (David Wilson)

Message 1072 Cycled through all shifts, no results, different alphabet possible (Patrick F)

General Monoalphabetic

Message 9 Q's may be used as nulls. Gary Warzin came up with a simple monoalphabetic substitution after removing nulls which he believed to have a frequency distribution close to that of English. Andrew Bromage does not believe that this correct, based on digraph coincidences. (Gary Warzin)

Message 55 Digraph list, with and without a shift. (David Wilson)
